The design masterfully crafts spaces to create an order and hierarchy in terms of mass and placements. While the large volumes, vertically placed, provide space to accommodate the multitude of programs offered by the college, the voids are planted ideally to balance the human body’s need to break out from the walls look up at the sky above, as a sort of breathing space. The built mass creates frames and grids, that add a contemporary touch to the architectural language while maintaining the vernacular aspects through locally sourced materials. The frames, in a way, also curate the panoramic view the site has to offer through freedom in sizes of openings and dynamic shadows that create patterns throughout the day.
